Dongping National Forest Park is located at the north side of the central Chongming Island,the third largest island in China.It is 12 kilometers from Nanmen Port (the county town) connecting Jianshe Villageship in the southern side and neighboring Dongfeng Farm in the esteem western and northern sides Being 1,700 meters long from east to west and 1,400-2,800 wide from south to north and covering an area of 3.55 kilometers (358 hektares).It is the largest man-planted forest in the Eastern China and also is the biggest forest park in Shanghai.
